Thanks for moving it forward. I haven't checked the changes carefully yet, but I think there are at least two loose ends:
1. Ubuntu does not always want "cjkv" as the default mode; only some of the flavors want. I'll try to add some conditional for the purpose in the code instead of /etc/default/im-config. If I do, we can probably drop the special Ubuntu variant of that config file.
2. In the current "devel" branch, GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus is always set by default in case of IBus, also on GNOME on Wayland. Neither Changwoo nor I proposed that.
