Ah, yes, the wonderful triumvirate of "here, let me help", "do it my way",
"how dare you question me? screw you guys, i'm going home". And people
wonder why I avoid these stupid threads.

If you'll reread what I wrote without the chip on your shoulder, you'll
note I said that you should "hand around" and "help fix RC bugs". These
are unquestionably useful things you can do, right now, whether you're a
developer or not, that will not only help the current release, but give
you a much better appreciation for some of the complexities involved in
getting a release out.
