I'll get a fresh dump and try again.

I admit I'm so terribly bored by these encoding problems that this would
be enough motivation to immediately switch to Python 3.  Since we want
to do it anyway we would save time in debugging these endless issues.
Would you give 2to3 a try?  I had some positive experiences in the past
by this simple conversion tool.
