Re: Mentoring Feedback

Hi Meike, All :)

Thanks for expressing interest in the mentoring program. Erinn or I will write to you privately to discuss your aims and to match you with an appropriate mentor.

We are currently changing some aspects of the way the mentoring program is organised, to make the administration of it easier to share between two or more people. We have just yesterday set up a new email address for handling future mentoring program emails. The address is:
and at present this address reaches myself and Erinn Clark.

In future, can anyone who is interested in being part of the mentoring program please email us at that address.

I am still far away from doing packaging and other dev stuff. So far I am
a rather experinced Unix admin and just trying to find my way around
Debian/Linux and it's many quirks and peculiarities :) So, what I'd be

the system structured, how does packaging work, how is everything
organized, what's the philosophy behind it ... such stuff.

If there was someone interested in being my mentor I'd be really happy.
Otherwise I'll just have to dig into the docs and fry my system a few
more times to get some insight ;-)
