Has provat d'engegar/apagar la maquina de fotos un cop endollada al usb.?
Pot existir a la maquina de fotos un punt de menú que indiqui connexió al pc?
Has fet un aptitude update, aptitude safe-upgrade en el acer?
En cas afirmatiu fes un apt-get upgrade. Molts cops el apt-get es una
mica mes salvatge que el aptitude però soluciona molts problemes.

Donava per suposat que els sistemes estaven a la última, en qualsevol cas si pots, una actualització de tots els sistemes sempre pot anar bé.
Prova de fer en una consola amb l'usuari root:
tail -f /var/log/syslog

endolla la camera de photos i mostrens la sortida.
( el tail -f d'un fitxer va mostrant les línies que es van afegin)


El XP que tens en el acer venia preinstalat?. Molts cops ACER fica
algun patch en el window perque funcioni.

T'ho envio.  En primer lloc, en el Dell, el nou que funciona perfectament.  A
sota l'Acer, l'antic.

Gràcies un cop més.  M'estic aventurant en mons nous i desconeguts ;-)
