Re: Who do you have to sleep with / bribe / shoot to get an answer about RAID support

ME stop trolling the list? ME? All you have posted are self serving insulting messages that are of no help. You' ve made it apparent that the ONLY reason you are posting to this subject is to stroke your own ego. It takes no "projecting" or any other psych 101 terms you can think up to see that.

Let me explain to you why this sort of thing is hurtful to Debian. Your messages had NOTHING to do with you being a "professional admin"... they had nothing to do with RAID support, they had nothing to to with the process of getting something working in the install system. They showed no understanding for how important this feature would be. Yes there has been some frustration on my part that the FAQ indicated that this feature WOULD be added, then spent time trying to get it to work and realizing that it was indeed NOT in Beta 3 and finding it difficult to get ANY information on whether it would be included or not.

Thankfully there were just a few actual helpful posts, I hope something comes of it. But what doesn't help and wastes everyone's time is when people like you troll the list just to tell people to "do it yourself" or how "this is the way we do it, deal with it" etc. This is what turns people off to Debian ... the self serving zealots that not only have anything helpful to say, but rather only wish to insult you.

Now, for the people that actually had something constructive to say, I'd like to say thanx, I'll try to get ahold of some of you to see if I can offer any help. It would be really great if we could make this happen. As for Elijah, for gods sake please crawl back under a rock and stop trolling.

Granted.

condescending message that serves only to stroke your own ego. I work

important feature added, and have said this before. I'm sure there are TONS of admins that use or would like to use Debian but find the install
process too arduous because it favors old antiquated "hobby" systems
over server systems.

I think Debian is mostly just fine.

Please take note people: people like Mr Wright are the #1 single

You mean professional admins who run Debian in production environments and
eat their own dogfood? I'm sorry to hear that this hurts Debian.

No, I don't have tons of budget or free systems to throw around, all I
could offer is time and systems to test on. Which is more than Mr
Wright has offered.

Please stop trolling the -boot list.
