Sure the fuss wasn't about pci express? Because that is the magic solution
to all graphics and io issues (according to popular marketing myths at
least). PCI-X is just a plain old PCI at 64 bits and clocked at 100 or
133MHz, so a bit faster than the normal 64/66 PCI bus on older servers,
but not by that much.
