Andrei's method with the send-hook would work if you don't want a copy saved when you mail to debian-user. However, if you want the copy saved, & then deleted, but only after you receive the copy from the mailing list, that's more complicated. That will require a script, I think, or to make it even more complicated, you can set up procmail so that when it sees a message from you to debian-user it runs a script (Bash, Perl, whatever) that looks for a mail with the same title in your sent folder and deletes it. This is sounding more complicated than it's worth. :)
