Plain linux-2.6.5 from kernel.org is fine, as is kernel-source-2.6.5
from Debian.  If you have an airport card and want to use monitor
mode, use kernel-patch-powerpc-2.6.5, coming soon to a Debian mirror
near you.

Or you could just run the pre-compiled kernels Sven is talking about.
