Re: w3c-linkchecker 4.6-1: Please translate debconf PO for the package w3c-linkchecker

Christian,
I have to apologize. This is a truly abysmal effort on my part. I am a native English speaker and in -- for example - in exam conditions, I can write coherent English. When trying to write coherent English before retiring to bed it is a somewhat different matter. I have attached the corrected file.

However what worries me is that so far I have only made two settings (the most likely to require modification) available for configuration. Would it be better to keep the whole translation/review process on hold until all the the configuration options are in debconf. I make no promises that I would be doing this any time soon. Also this package is waiting on another package in the NEW queue so it may not even be submited for upload in the next few weeks.

A review on debian-l10n-english would really help, I think.

#. Type: boolean
#. Description
#: ../templates:2001
msgid ""
"By default the upstream distribution only allows validates websites with"
"public IP addresses. This value can be set to true to relax this restriction."

Even though I'm not a native speaker, I think that "only allows
validates" is something that could be improved (no offense intended,
of course....I did much worse in the past!).

It is not really difficult to ask for such review: just send the
debian/<foo>.templates attached in a mail to
debian-l10n-english@lists.debian.org (dle) and a small sentence asking
for a review. You'll then receive comments and even patches. At one
point, after a few days, things will settle on you get a new templates
file with dle virtual "stamp" on it and voil.
