gbp import-orig only imports the downloaded tarball into the git repository.

uscan is the tool to download the upstream tarballs and do repackaging
using the Files-Excluded in debian/copyright and repacksuffix in
debian/watch.

The typical procedure for packaging a new upstream release is documented
in the Debian GIS policy:

http://pkg-grass.alioth.debian.org/policy/packaging.html#git-new-upstream
I did followed this.

first uscan,

then gpb import

it asks for version. First I tried the defaults which was 5.2.0+dfsg

when I tried git-buildpackage --git-pbuiler
it says  otb_5.2.0_orig.tar.gz was not found

then I tried again with version number 5.2.0 when asked for "upstream version".  Then I got
otb_5.2.0+dfsg.orig.tar.gz

and is working fine. Sorry for noise. I thought there was something to do as last time. I was not aware repacking and repack suffix are added automatically.

Kind Regards,

Bas
