Thanks. I fear the whole ossim packaging is outside my skills and
available resources. If there is something specific I can do, I'll be
happy to - it's so bad not having otb in deb.

It won't be that hard to upate ossim given the support of debian gis team.

Anwyay, I understand your problem of not having OTB. I am working on it and will try to finish it soon unless I am not assigned to some other tasks.

For an immediate solution, can you try the packaging right now. I removed symbol file that was breaking the build before.

I will put them back on with the kdesymbolhelper and splitting of shared libs into packages are done.
