When I published this checklist I didn't consider items regarding blind people needs because (1) I have no knowledge about people with these incapacities in Debian who wants to attend Debconf and (2) I have no experience about the mandatory needs for those people. On the other hand I've met people with mobility limitations in past DCs. The best case would have Debconf fully accessible for everyone. I agree with Holger this is very hard to reach. IMHO we should focus on real cases only. If someone with other needs register to attend the Conference, then we should work in the same way to provide what he/she needs in case of this person makes contributions to the Project. > I absolutly agree that it would rock to have it. As well as travel sponsorship > for everyone, child care and some other things. Sure. It would be great, but it's utopic. What I want to clarify is that this checklist has only the basic needs for real cases and should at least be considered during the visits to prospective DC venues. Some items can be easily solved with simple hacks, such as mobile ramps or just moving seats from a medium car to fit the wheelchair.
