And yet, this entire subthread was premised on an upgrade! If you want to keep running old hardware then do so. Why on earth would it upset you that someone else isn't?
It's very disappointing software has gotten so bloated that NVME and 2^4 genuine cores are becoming a necessity just to maintain performance.
If it makes you happy to run 10 year old hardware, just keep running 10 year old software and you'll be all set!
