I believe the Zeitgeist movement can be summed up as a modern
attempt to direct humanity toward altruism and away from
selfishness. It is not the fist time people have tried to do this.
However, the advent of user generated mass communication, aka
internet, has meant that many who thought they were alone in their
ideas have been surprised to find they are not, and have become
quite communicative as a result.
