Not all words and phrases can be accurately translated from one
language to another, and not everyone who translates the Bible knows
the ancient languages well enough.  Note the disagreement between
those who say "You shall not *kill*" and "You shall not *murder*."

This, incidentally, is why Muslims are so anal about adherents
learning Arabic, in order to read the Koran in the original tongue.
