Probably because some packages, and the Mozilla Suite and derivatives
are a good example, are updated frequently upstream.
For packages like this, I always use the upstream package, rather than
Debian ones. Most people that do this, don't have these issues, in my
experience.
It's nice to use only Debian packages, but in some cases it's just not
practical IMO.
