yupe.. my /boot directory is empty cause I think there was supposed to
be some sort of link which linked it to the /dev/hda1 partition where
the rest of the stuff is contained...
as for editing to the rest location, I don't think that's the issue
was the / partition is reiserfs and not readable/mountable by default
due to the older kernel use...
