Nope, the syslog.conf change didn't have any effect. The messages
which all say "DEBUG" are not logged at debug priority, nor are they
squelched by setting debug_level to 0.
Call me crazy, but this seems very, very wrong. Anyone know what the
postgres developers' rationale for this might be?
