Aber wirklich nur dann wenn Du echten sequentiellen Zugriff hast.
Mal ein pg_dump von 500 GByte überspielen gibt dir auch nicht
mehr Geschwindigkeit einer einzelnen Platte.

Haste einen 3Ware?
Also ich kenne jemand bei 3Ware und die 3w75xx machen maximal
200 MByte/s, die 3w85xx 300 MByte/s und die 3w9xxx ein bischen
mehr aber das sind alles nur THEORETISCHE werte.
Mein 8500 mit 4 WD1500 (Raptor SATA), schaffen selbst sequentiell
keine 150 MByte.
