Das reicht fuer 1152x864 in 24/32 millionen Farben...

Das besagt, das mein Monitor nur eine Auflösung von 1024x768 schaft.

Wenn der Monitor die angegebene Aufloesung nicht schaft, macht er 
einen Fall-Back auf 1024x768 und verwendet 1152x864 als virtuellen 
Bildschirm, da die 4 MByte der Grafikkarte dafür ausreichen
