and 0 1 7 8(?) 9
So this is really really really strange.
So I took a look into the afm file and what do I find in lmr10.afm:
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N three.oldstyle ; B 42 -216 457 472 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N four.oldstyle ; B 28 -194 471 483 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N five.oldstyle ; B 50 -216 449 472 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N six.oldstyle ; B 42 -22 457 666 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N seven.oldstyle ; B 56 -216 485 482 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N eight.oldstyle ; B 42 -22 457 666 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N nine.oldstyle ; B 42 -216 457 472 ;
...
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N zerooldstyle ; B 39 -22 460 453 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N oneoldstyle ; B 90 1 420 454 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N twooldstyle ; B 43 1 449 453 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N threeoldstyle ; B 42 -216 457 472 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N fouroldstyle ; B 28 -194 471 483 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N fiveoldstyle ; B 50 -216 449 472 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N sixoldstyle ; B 42 -22 457 666 ;
C -1 ; WX 500 ; N sevenoldstyle ; B 56 -216 485 482 ;

C -1 ; WX 500 ; N nineoldstyle ; B 42 -216 457 472 ;
Maybe the three.oldstyle etc are somehow disturbing xfontsel, but
gfontview seems to be alright with it.
Best wishes
