I can answer this one as I'm running the @debian twitter account.
I'm using a (proprietary) webservice for this:
http://twitterfeed.com

I also use twitterfeed to post to the Debian facebook page.

If we get a usable identi.ca feed, I can certainly reconfigure
twitterfeed to use it. It's not a big deal to continue to use that
service given that twitter is a proprietary service as well..

That said, it would be good to be able to differentiate automatic
posts on identi.ca (i.e. those coming from RSS feeds) from manual
posts so that twitterfeed can continue to use the current RSS feeds
and just add one more for the identi.ca specific content (using RSS feeds
directly potentially allows for richer entries because Facebook doesn't
have the same restrictions than twitter/identi.ca).
