Unfortunately, I don't have any idea if it works or what it would take to make
it work, but I can suggest something to try:
Some versions of XFree86 4.x (but I think not the current DRI as the new code
is untested for that) should support Option "CRTOnly"
to only use an external monitor. If you're really lucky, the TV out will work
with that :)
