This is not the first Common Lisp application in Debian, nor is Lisp the
only language that includes a run time system in the resulting
executables (as far as I know, most (all?) of the Haskell libs in Debian
are static because until recently that is all ghc could deal with). It
isn't ideal, but we can deal with problems as they arise. There is a
mechanism to rebuild packages when needed (binNMU). If a problem is
discoved in one of the compilers (I'm not aware of an instance of this,
but I did not research it) then a script like build-rdeps (in package
devscripts) can find the packages which need to be rebuilt.
