Ahh, perhaps it is just me.  I start reading
/usr/share/doc/<pkg>/README.Debian.  Perhaps you might refer to
the man page there and everything is fine.

Either this - or you just patch the page that everything works fine.

I have no idea about those installation options.  We have two
alternatives:

  1. Patch starting page so that all links work with the *default*
     installation.
  2. Care for default installation so that starting page works with
     all links.

Having broken links is no good option.
