But now it can't connect to my AP anymore (the led card keeps blinking). Here is the output of the log when I insert the card into its slot: ,---- | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz cardmgr[1783]: socket 0: Linksys WPC11 11Mbps 802.11b WLAN Card | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: Station identity 001f:0002:0001:0004 | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz cardmgr[1783]: executing: './network start eth1' | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: Looks like an Intersil firmware version 1.4.2 | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: Ad-hoc demo mode supported | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: IEEE standard IBSS ad-hoc mode supported | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: WEP supported, 104-bit key | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: MAC address 00:06:25:0B:EF:89 | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: Station name "Prism I" | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: ready | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: index 0x01: Vcc 5.0, irq 11, io 0x0180-0x01bf | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz kernel: eth1: Error -110 setting multicast list. | Dec 31 15:22:53 totoz last message repeated 3 times `---- What is weird here is: * I set the mode to manager and it speaks about Ad-hoc * The -110 error which I don't know much more :( Please, I really need help. I have regrets when thinking all worked pretty well under 2.4.x kernel series. Also note that I defined wireless extension to use into /etc/network/interfaces file and not through /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts (as recommended into /usr/share/doc/wireless_tools/README.gz) So what is wrong with this ? FYI, here is an extract for the eth1 configuration: ,---- | iface eth1 inet static | address 10.0.0.3 | network 10.0.0.0 | netmask 255.0.0.0 | gateway 10.0.0.1 | wireless_essid gnurox | wireless_mode managed `---- Thank you for your help and sorry to bother you with that. zeDek -- No e-patents, pas de brevets logiciels Pétition contre les brevets logiciels : http://petition.eurolinux.org
