Hi Shawn,

CD: Cluterk Noppix V3.2
=======================

I carried out following test without result, ppp0 connected to ISP but
could not browse Internet.
I made this test on a machine installed with 2 NICs (this machine), one
for connecting to server (cable not connected yet) and another to
broadband.

I think the answer is the DNS. Connect to your ISP in Windows, and run:

ipconfig /all

Write down the DNS (primary and secondary, if you have them both).

Disconnect, then reconnect and do it again another time or two.

Now, you will be armed with good DNS addresses. Use these in the configuration of the kppp client in Knoppix. I booted into it earlier today, and confirmed that kppp has a place to
add this information.

Post the results to us.

Take care to make sure that you enter your name and password correctly in kppp, including any "extra" stuff your ISP requires. For example, if you are an MSN user, and your name is "fred", your
username on dial-up needs to be entered as "MSN/fred" in the dial-up window.
