Don't get too happy with non-free. It almost got cut a few months back,
and I don't expect it to live forever. I don't know how I feel about the
issue, but Debian *is* based on the idea of being completely Free.

A line similar to the following will help:
deb ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/linux/devel/lang/java/blackdown.org/debian woody non-free

Put it in your /etc/apt/sources.list file. apt-get update. apt-get
install j2sdk1.3. Note the new java executable. :) Send a thank-you note
to the good people at Blackdown.
