So we can now use the same simple approach as debian-policy,
build-essential, menu, debian-emacs-policy, java-policy, dpkg-internals,
python-policy, and refcard: extract material from the package now that
it's in the archive!

With the simple approach, you can count me in (and you can also count me
in to argue if you don't like this approach ;-).

I propose to work on it inside a “translation” branch of the
collab-maint Git repository, and merge it with master once ready.
