While I have no particular interest to participate in this discussion, I
have to jump in here for a slight correction -- archive size is already
causing more and more mirrors to drop out or severely limit what they
mirror. Once people find out they can skip mirroring something, they usually
cut out not only that, but everything else that seems useless to them.
It's also very efficient at deflecting new mirrors, especially in countries
which are less developed and where new mirrors are actually needed.
