Please don't.

The whole point of a GIMP contest is to show what you can do with the Gimp. 
If you ask the Gimp people to remove the rule, then there's no difference
between this and posting an announcement on Slashdot.

Besides, noone prevents us from taking the winning entry and turning it into
a postscript drawing.  We will _need_ to do that eventually if we are
serious about using the logo for anything else than fancy web stuff.

And there are some really spiffy looking logos already.

The onyl thing that bothers me is that it's not clear from the rules that
the logo must not be linux-centric.  And it's a shame, because one of the
best ones is VERY linux-centric.
