Actually, it would be best if it installed the IWADs
somewhere private, and registered them as an alternative for
doom2.wad (or doom.wad etc.) in /usr/share/games/doom. See
for example this patch[1]. It's quite conceivable that
someone will want to install an official IWAD and freedoom
at the same time.

Of course if people *really* don't like the alternatives
system we should bin it, but I do think it's the way to
go...
