Sounds like maybe your firewall is truncating or corrupting packets
then.  Most likely the thing causing that SSH message is what is cutting
of the http transfer too.  Or someone between you and
security.debian.org is.  Some ISPs run "transparent" proxies, although
that shouldn't affect SSH, so it is more likely something lower level
corrupting or truncating the packets.

Well I am sitting across the room from the machine, so no proxies just a switch is between my workstation and this new server. This is all new hardware so, I am not inclined to to think its hardware, but then again. Are there any switches in the tg3 driver?
