Not every DebConf attendee is a DD. We WILL have external people that
come for the day, the weekend, etc, who are not DDs. Working on honor
will become almost impossible when we have close to 400 people and
there are many people that we don't know at all.

Vaurmarcus is not a very good example of how food was handled. A lot
of people would have actually preferred to have dinner later than the
time it was served, but as time passed, it was clear that if you went
to dinner "late" (although inside the dinner window) you would get
bread and cheese instead of dinner.

This is NOT acceptable, so please don't use Vaurmarcus as an example
of well handling of the food issue.

To me, handling tickets and then re-selling them is normal DebConf
operation. If you expect external people, who are not covered in the
food budget, you need to have tickets to identify who's covered and
who isn't.
