Hi, We are considering introducing a new talk length for DebConf 15: 20' talks. These talks would have their own slot (30' slot with a 10' pause between talks), and at a certain time any concurrent talks would have the same length. Personally, I think most talks can fit in this length. Think about TEDs 18' presentations, and also the currently believed maximum attention span [1]. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention_span From my personal point of view, for complex technical topics it's impossible to cover them in 45' anyway, so it's better to have a talk that provokes hunger to learn more on a topic, with good pointers for where to find out more than to have details that you won't remember after the talk. We would like to hear your opinion on this idea. -- "There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and BSD. We don't believe this to be a coincidence." -- Jeremy S.
