Not sure this exact behavior has been, but it is probably related to the
wrong detection of the VGA being connected, and this behavior has been
reported anyway.

Not sure about upstream, might be 10 days, might be 3 months... Once it
is released upstream, it will be in Debian unstable very soon. And if
there's a release candidate before the final release, we might even put
in experimental.
