I do not like like the tab title to be changing while there is no
program running. I prefer the information to be just in the prompt.
Thus, I would "change" it to be the same. /-:

The PS1 change i said, i meant, is that i used a changed PS1 since many
years ago. Even before i started using Debian (which is with that Debian
9). So, with the upgrade process, i did not change anything at all. I
kept using everything as before: window manager, terminal, shell,
prompt, text editor. Thus, i expected that everything should continue
working as before - at most, something could change for better, as i
have seen features being added in Vim, along the years, or in any other
programs i use. But these do not brake anything, usually.
So, i do not know if Vim restored the title it received. This is
something that makes sense, since vim always changes the title, when
called from a terminal.
But, on another path of thought that makes sense, the shell and the
terminal restoring the title every time a command end, it also makes sense.
In the end, i do not know where exactly it would be better to start
searching. I betted on this list because i imagine here is a good place
to find people that know Debian deeply. And here we are. (:
