I don't have a directory /usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d/. Maybe these changes
are still to be migrated to testing?

Seems nice. The problem of the xorg.conf stanza is that it indeed not so
modular.

I will either wait until the update migrates to testing or get it by
hand from sid. I'll keep you informed.
