Did I mention it is a PIII-500 with 384 MB RAM running from an USB 
stick?

I don't read my mail on that machine, X is installed only because of 
mplayer. I only want to have something to pick up errors from cron or 
similar.

I'll consider Steve Kemp's skxmail.
