It doesn't give the simple clue that, unlike other wm's, the slit is
invisible unless something is attached to it. So when you start the wm,
"where's this slit thing" is a natural first question.

No. The html doc. Its available to read online, as separate html files
in a tarball, or as a single html file. Its available in other formats
since its written in docbook.
