mmm.. now i have another problem.. I've tried to install with the all
distro version, it wouldn't work.. but, i tried alien version
(converting rpm to deb), it installed.. but then, the vmware-config.pl
doesn't work still.. so i tried uninstall the alien version.. then
tries to install with all distro version again.. sadly, it just gave
me an error:
A previous installation of VMware software has been detected.

Failure

Execution aborted.

is there any way of deleting all related files and reinstall everything?

When you uninstalled the alien version did you "remove" it or "purge" it? If only "remove" then there would be config files remaining, which would be detected by the new installation.

I'm a newbie, so I may have it wrong, but it wouldn't hurt to try "purge"? If I am wrong, could a more experienced person correct me?
