FWIW, I use rsync to sync my oggfiles between laptop and desktop, with
`rsync --delete -uavn' to test, followed by another run without the
`-n'.  There are 2 GB-plus of files, and I find that the time required
(beyond the actual transfering of files) is trivial.  I just did a run
(over a slow Internet connection) and it took about 1.5 sec to process.
