Re: Open Sound System Driver error
Hello,
I finaly have got the kernel in place, with Alsa;
However, when I run alsaconf it ends with a message
like this:
"
Loading driver:
Starting ALSA sound driver (version 0.9.0beta12): no
sound cards defined.
Starting the PCM volume to 100% and the Master output
volume to 50%
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such file or
directory
Could not initialize the mixer, the card was probably
not detected correctly
"
Can I make alsa autodetect the card? alsaconf asks me
a lot of questions on which I can only guess values -
and I'm not very familiar with sound cards so I'm a
poor guesser;
Thank you,
Joris
