Sorry, my mistake. 
I didn't say the sequence I wrote is when I reinstall kernel.

No, I started with binary (31xx) and it worked.
But newer binary freezed X server when going to blank (or sleep ?) mode.

I trusted the nvidia sources - that "make install" reinstall older binaries.

I didn't realized that benefit when using deb :-)
I will try to install this.

Maybe it helps me.

Each time I installed even newer glx (I have not meant it), but from
original nvidia  source too.
