Personally, I use AMD CPUs (almost) exclusively as they give me the most bang for the buck. Most of the time, I put them onto Aopen mobo's and haven't run into a single problem.

I've never actually *heard* a CPU, be it Intel or AMD, but I'm always open for suggestions on how to get that done. ;-)

If at all possible, try to get a Zalman cooler (http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/intro.htm) and a decent low-noise power supply.
