Yes. I also had to 'apt-get remove openoffice' because otherwise openoffice.org-l10n-en was not upgraded.
I then used OOodi to reinstall the UK dictionary, then reconfigured the writing aids and languages in Tools > Options > Language settings. This time they remained after rerunning OOo.
I also had to reinstall ttf fonts using OpenOffice.org Printer Administration (/usr/bin/oopadmin).
