I used netstat to scan, I was following Colin Watson suggestion. I
think I should not use the word 'scan'.

NO, I run as a root. And try different ports: 888, 2000. Whatever I
put, it will still come out the mesg:
bind: Cannot assign requested address at /usr/sbin/spamd line 135.
So......??
