Potato is Debian 2.2; 2.1 was Slink, and had kernel 2.0.x, so if the OP
is using either kernel 2.1 or Debian 2.1, he could be out of date. It
sounds like there may be other problems too, but that may be solved all
in one hit by upgrading debian and installing the debian netscape
package (netscape 4.75 is a little old too).
