Answer to Re: CardBus PC Card: 3c575-TX -- module creation ?
I answer my question myself:
3c575-TX is supported by the general purpose driver of the Vortex
Series 3c59x by Becker.
Therefore, the changes required to /etc/pcmcia/config are:
- class "network" module "cb_enabler", "3c575_cb"
+ class "network" module "cb_enabler", "3c59x"
Then all works perfectly running as 100Mbps as well as 10Mbps.
In case any distribution developer reads this email, why not include
this change in the appropriate file.
PS: In case you change this settings, don't forget to restart cardmgr,
i.e. /etc/init.d/pcmcia stop and then /etc/init.d/pcmcia start
-- but of course you already knew this issue anyway, haven't you?
